World of Warcraft PvP - General Classes Information on All Ten - Part One in a Series on WoW PvP

My favorite thing to do in World of Warcraft is PvP. I'm addicted to PvP. I'm always in the battlegrounds killing. I play both horde and alliance, just not on the same server. When you are doing player verses player, there are several things that come into the picture. Things like which class to play, how to play that specific class, which spec in that class is needed etc.

I'll start with the warrior class. The roll of a warrior has changed from the Burning Crusades to The Wrath Of The Lich King. In the B.C. the warrior was one of the best kill classes you could go with which is why you see so many of them running around now. Though their numbers are dwindling they are still a force to be reckoned with even though they are not a kill class anymore. They are one of the best pressure classes in the game. The best PvP spec is well any of them. As a tank you get stuns, as fury you can carry two two-handed weapons so you hit like a freight train, as arms you use bleeds which is one of your greatest abilities. your greatest ability is your stances

Next is the rogue class. Rogues rely on stealth to survive your greatest enemy is another melee class. Your job is to sneak in and quite literally reap havoc against healers and other casters. Your spec is going to be either assassination or a mixture of assassination and subtlety. Rogues are one of the most feared classes in the game. Paladins have a unique ability to become immune to all damage thru a spell. But this bubble (as it is called in-game), it is your greatest ability even though a warrior can remove it with their shattering throw. Your spec is either going to be holy or retribution. Holy is a healer, retribution is dps your job is to kill or heal. Retribution Paladins are currently one of three over powered classes expect a nerf in patch 3.3. Don't be afraid to heal yourself and others, it will help you as a team.

Shamans your PvP spec is going to be elemental or restoration. You are a caster class your job as elemental is simple, kill everything. As restoration you heal everything. Enhancement is a waste of time in PvP. Your greatest ability is your totems; well-placed totems can cause a great amount of frustration to your opponents. Don't be afraid to heal yourself and others, it will help you as a team.

Druids are the most versatile class in game all of your specs are good for PvP. Your greatest ability is your shape shifting. Your job is to kill or heal. Feral combat druids are one of three over powered classes; expect a nerf in patch 3.3. Don't be afraid to heal yourself and others, it will help you as a team. Aw the death knight you have two good soiled specs for PvP. Frost and unholy both are brutal. Your job is simply to kill. Your greatest ability is your death grasp. Death knights are one of three over powered classes; expect a nerf in patch 3.3. Unholy can have a pet if they spec into it.

Priests have two specs that are good for PvP, discipline and shadow. Discipline is a type of heal/kill spec though I consider it more of a protection spec but you can still kill. Shadow is a caster spec that uses damage over time spells otherwise known, as dots to kill. Your Power Word Shield is your greatest spell. If shadow specs don't be afraid to heal yourself and others it will help you as a team.

Warlocks have but one purpose, to kill and they do it very well. As a warlock you have two specs affliction and destruction. As affliction you kill thru dots, it is a very steady dps spec. As destruction you gain the ability to do burst damage, which means a lot of damage really quickly, you also use dots and direct damage abilities like Chaos Bolt. Your greatest ability's is your fear spell. Use your demons to help you.

The hunter is a range dps who does physical damage. They are unique because they are the only ranged class that can do it. You are a kill class. Your greatest ability is your traps. Your spec will determine how you play, all three specs are good, but if you go marksman you need to be very skilled in order to live long enough. You also have a pet to help you live and kill.

Last but not least mages, Frost is going to be your spec though you can go with arcane. The only problem with arcane is that it requires you to stand still, not a good idea in PvP. Frost is a burst damage spec. Your greatest ability is you polymorph.
