A Certified Nursing Assistant or a CNA is a specially trained individual who caters to their patients or clients that need medical attention with their everyday diurnal and nocturnal routines and if possible, perform healthcare techniques and procedures with the help and consent of a registered nurse.
Other countries have their own terms for the CNA, but they all do the same tasks.

The certified nursing assistant must undergo CNA training first. After that, he/she will be able to get a CNA certificate that will allow him/her to take part in giving and assisting with the medical needs of their patients. If a person does not have these requirements, then he/she will not be allowed to perform her duties as a CNA.
Moreover, the CNA certificate is a proof that the person has an experience in the field of medicine, and will only need a few things in order for him/her to fully function as a CNA.
Currently, hospitals and health centers are in need of certified nursing assistants especially for those hospitals whose nurses are frequently going out of their facility to conduct health missions around the country. Once they are assigned, CNAs will be assigned to take care of the patients' needs that they can only perform. Meaning, CNAs are only limited to a number of task, despite undergoing their CNA training. Some of the common tasks that they conduct include the production of health plans, evaluation of staff, giving prescribed medicines to the patients as directed, and surgery assistance with the equipment and other non-technical matters.
A CNA should take advantage of what his/her mentors are doing. Since his/her CNA training and CNA certificate does not guarantee anything, then it would be advised that he/she learn what she sees, hears and feels while doing these tasks, so that he can advance in this field after a while.
