CNA Training Certification Verification

If you are a certified nursing assistant, you will have a licensing number and paperwork to prove that you have received your CNA certification. The certification reflects the work you completed in a training program and that you passed the certification exam. Your work to maintain your certification is not done upon completion of certification.

cna

In order to keep your certified nursing assistant certification valid, you will need to complete any required CEU credits and training programs throughout the year. It will most likely be necessary to work a minimum number of hours to maintain your active certification even if you are only working part-time.

CNA

Certifications need to be renewed every so often. It will most likely be required every couple of years. If you forget to take the steps to renew your nursing assistant certification it will run out. The steps you need to take to become certified again will depend on the state where you live.

If for any reason you are unsure if your CNA Certification is still valid, you can use CNA certification validation. In some states it is as easy as accessing the nursing aide registry board on your computer. Many states now make it possible to verify certifications directly from the website using a person's name and other identifying information. You can easily check the status of your own certification in these states.

Some states do not make it so easy to verify a CNA certification. In these states, you will need to visit the local nursing aide office. Head in to the office with any information you have on your certification: licensing number and date of issuance for example. You will probably need some photo ID too.

When you go to the nursing aide registry, you will be asked for information to identify you and to help find your CNA certification information. Once they pull your information, they will be able to determine if it is still active. You can ask to have your CNA certification validation sent to either your mailing or your email address.

A potential employer has a couple ways to complete CNA Certification validation. If your state is one of the states where certification details can be accessed online, a potential employer can quickly check to make certain that you are certified and that your certification is still active. They will need to know your name and perhaps some other basic information in order to access these records.

Some employers will use a third-party validation company in order to make certain that you are certified and ready to work as a certified nursing assistant for their facility. This is a more expensive method on checking to make certain a potential employee is certified.

Of course, you can easily validate your certification for a potential employer if you have a copy of your certification and your licensing number. They will be able to look at the date of issuance and will also be able to note when the certification is due to be renewed. If the employer has any doubts as to authenticity of your documents, they can then proceed with a more thorough validation process.

How to Become a CNA - The Easy Way

If you want to become a CNA there are things you need to be able to do. The first requirement is compassion and the willingness to help people. You also may want to enroll in a certification school. After that you will need to take the certification exam. Once certified you will be an important part of health care.

cna

In order to become a certified nursing assistant you will need a compassionate nature. What a CNA does has more to do with hands on patient care than any other aspect of health care. You will need the ability to care for patients regardless of how they treat you. You have to ignore condition, race, religion, and any other biases that you might have.

CNA

You can go to a CNA school or training program. Most often the training is only around four to six months. Most states will help you with the tuition if you need it. Once in school there are two parts to it a classroom portion and a clinical portion. Most schools provide both.

The classroom portion of the school is mostly theory, ethics, and the basics of how to do things. The clinical side of the class is actual patient care. Many schools work with hospitals, care facilities, and nursing homes that students work in to gain the experience that they need.

In most states you have to take an exam in order to be a licensed CNA. This test consists of an written portion and a clinical portion. You will have to demonstrate your skills on people. The skills that are tested are things like taking vitals and weighing patients. You will need to demonstrate the basics of care.

If you want to take the test without going to the schooling in most states you can do what is called challenging the test. You sign up for your certification exam and just take it. Each state has different rules when it comes to this. It is also known as taking the test blind. Most often there is a fee associated with the test either way.

If you want to become a CNA you will need to make sure that you are becoming one for the right reasons. You will also have to take and pass your state exam. If you need some help you can also enroll in a training course. There are a lot of great opportunities in health care.

From CNA to LPN: A Big Step Forward

There are several licensed practical nurse (LPN) online programs that can be utilized if you want to transform from being a certified nursing assistant (CNA) to LPN and this is made possible because of distance learning. In some online programs of LPN, it is a requirement that the applicants are already CNAs before getting admitted. An advantage of these online programs is the chance it gives to students so they can work at daytime and deal with their online lessons every night or during spare time.

cna

The core of all LPN online programs is a chain of nursing courses that discuss the different theories and ideas about the profession of nursing. The online classes do not only teach and demonstrate future LPNs how to treat patients but they also touch the subject of diagnosing different ailments and how to effectively communicate with patients. Since a CNA is actually a nurse's assistant and does not have the authority to oversee patients and directly take care of them, the curriculum for LPN is usually very new to most students.

CNA

The number of courses require in an LPN program vary. There are programs where the students are required to complete a wide selection of online courses while others require to just completing several courses. Some of these courses on practical nursing can be completed online while some require students to attend personally the sessions so that their mastery on how to care for patients can be tested. Whichever approach is done, the offered nursing courses give its students the education which is enough to prepare the students for the licensure exam of LPN.

Practical nursing requires that a student has a solid foundation of knowledge about the different body systems, organs and tissues of the human anatomy. That's why anatomy course and training are part of the curriculum of LPN programs. Through online lectures a student can learn anatomy and physical laboratory classes can give the students on-hands training about anatomy.

Online courses for psychology are meant to assist future LPNs to have better comprehension on the different behavior and decision processes of patients. Also, through psychology course, the students can have awareness on current social issues that are helpful during treatments and in communicating with patients.

Part of the LPN program is computer classes where future LPNs can utilize the software and utilities for reports compilation, statistics calculation and Internet searching for information about illnesses and treatments. Also, it's important for a practical nurse to communicate effectively with patients so courses for the basics of good communication skills are part of the learning process. Leadership skill can also be enhanced with the development of communication skills and this is also necessary to become a good LPN.

So far, the most apparent qualification for a CNA to be admitted in one of the LPN online programs is to have experience as a CNA. Although, this is just one of the several requirements needed to qualify for an online LPN program. An interested student should also pass the entrance test. Resume For CNA - CNA Resume Techniques That Will Get You Hired

It does not matter if you have just recently received your certification as a nursing assistant, or if you have been working in the healthcare field for more than a decade. There is nothing that is as likely to get you hired as soon as possible than an excellent, well-written resume that properly showcases your strengths and convinces future employers to take their chances at you and ask you for an interview.

cna

When writing CNA resumes, remember to keep the following things in mind.

CNA

Put your name at the top, and your contact details immediately after. You want to make sure that once a future employer makes the decision to call you in for an interview, they would not have to waste their time looking for ways to reach you. Include your full name, your telephone number, your email address and your current home address. Be careful about writing down your email address! Use a professional sounding one-your cutesy high school email address will only put you off employers' lists.

Next, spend some time writing a well-thought out objective. Show future employers that aside from knowing what your goals, you are also the perfect fit for their company.

Also remember to list all the places where you have received your training and your certifications. The more places, the better, but be careful to write down only the most relevant details. If it looks like you are only trying to pad up a weak resume, you can probably say goodbye to that job offer.

List all the places you have previously worked in. If there are not any yet, you can also rely on nonprofit and volunteer organizations where you may have devoted some of your healthcare skills. Highlight your skills, and highlight the traits that you believe will make you an excellent certified nursing assistant.

Have some references in handy. It depends entirely on you whether you want to immediately include someone who can speak out for you, or if you want to make your references a little more confidential by making them available upon request. Just be sure that you have someone in mind already, so you are not surprised if someone does ask for them.

Finally, do not forget to revise! Writing CNA resumes may seem easy, but if you keep letting grammatical mistakes, you probably would not be receiving as many offers for those elusive job interviews.

CNA Liability Insurance

In the medical field, liability insurance for CNA's is simply protection from malpractice. Not all places of employment offer this type of insurance, but there are many that are now beginning to offer it. There are even some nurse's and staff members that are buying their own types of insurance to protect themselves in the case of a bad situation should arise.

cna

There are some employers that offer CNA insurance but there are also certain limitations and restrictions to it. There may also be policies that are not as wide and are somewhat limited. For instance, if you work for a private duty nursing agency, you may not be covered and this also applies to anything that happens while you are off duty. Additionally, there are some cases that the insurance you get or are looking into may not be able to transfer once you begin working in a different facility or hospital. These are all different situations that can play into the main reason there are many lawsuits against nurse's and other staff. This is the primary reason there are many people investing in getting insurance to protect them from liability.

CNA

There are several different types of insurance that is offered, and for businesses, you can even offer it to your employees to help them remain protected. If you have an insurance policy, as a CNA or a HHA, you are going to be protected from malpractice accusations from patients or other co-workers. If you are working for a facility and all of a sudden it closes, there is still a chance you could be accused of something you didn't do. Having this liability insurance can protect you. If you are wondering the importance of it, it can help protect you from being sued from a company or even a patient and their family.

You can find that some nursing facilities will offer policies in various ranges and some even offer policies that range in the millions of dollars. There are certain aspects that make these types of policies so desirable. One of the biggest aspects and features s the ability to remain protected. You are going to be protected and covered by insurance for anything that may happen outside of work as well in regards to a patient. You can also find that many policies offer personal protection. This is going to keep you safe from anything that has to do with slander, assault, and libel that may arise from being in the nursing field.

There are additionally payments that are offered for injuries that happen while on the click at work or that may occur while being in a clinic or healthcare facility of a patient. These amounts can reach as high as in the thousands.

Non-Contact Boxing Classes For Kids

For many parents, there is the assumption that boxing is all sparring or, worse, "fighting." This is really not an accurate assessment of boxing training. But, it is understandable that many adults would worry about their children being injured in such a class. Sparring does come with minor (And we do mean the risks are minor and minimal) risks, not all boxing training involves sparring at all. In fact, there are multitudes of boxing workouts that can help develop solid skills in pugilism that do not come with significant contact.

For example, the simple and basic process of shadow boxing can do a lot to develop skill and it comes with no risk of injury since there is no contact involved. With shadow boxing, the student will practice form, footwork, and movement. Often, it is footwork and proper body mechanics that develop a boxer's skills. Yes, ring work is important but since the student is a young child there can be plenty of time for that when the child gets older. At the beginning, form, technique, and fitness can play the main role in the training.

CNA CLASSES

One way this process can be achieved is through a boxing award program that offers a learning progression designed to help a youngster slowly develop his skills. This process allows a young one to slowly learn the important facets of boxing without having to deal with semi-or full contact. There are a number of clear benefits to this approach. First, it develops the actual skill needed to engage in semi-contact training so that such training is easier and injury free. Secondly, it develops the critical strength and cardio vascular conditions that dramatically improve health. Remember, high levels of fitness reduce two of the top adverse health conditions in the world: heart attack and strokes. Engaging a child in a healthy lifestyle at a young age improves their quality of life exponentially. Thirdly, such a process provides the much needed focus that helps the child learn the steps necessary for skill development.

This focus is achieved by presenting tiered awards as the child's skill progresses. Awards do not fall under the category of "pass/fail" as such an approach takes a lot of the fun out of the game. Additionally, such a testing approach is self-defeating. Instead, the awards simple honor skill development and achievement. They also provide a progression for the student to follow which allows them to set goals for their achievement. When a student has a goal to focus on, they can chart progress and focus on areas of improvement. And, of course, such an approach extends far beyond the boxing gym and into life in general.

So, there is no need for parents to worry about their child's safety when it comes to non-contact boxing classes. These programs have been expertly designed to deliver a great foundation for a lifetime progression in the art and science of boxing. Children can have fun, get in shape, and develop strong discipline. Now, what more could you ask for?

Transferring a CNA License

If you hold a CNA license in one state and wish to work as a CNA in another, you need to transfer your certified nursing assistant license. Another term for this process is reciprocity. You have to apply for a new certification at the time when you decide to work in the other state.

cna

During the process of reciprocity, the other state will review your credentials as a certified nursing assistant before approving and put your name on the state's nurse aide registry.

CNA

There are certain steps that you need to complete in the process of reciprocity:

1. Firstly, you need to call your current state's Nurse Aide Registry. Request them to provide you with an application for the reciprocity. In addition, make sure to clarify whether you need to send the form back to them or the other state's registry department.

2. Call the other state's registry office and inform them about the reciprocity. Ask them whether you need to send the form to them. Each state has its own preferences. Some states prefer to get the form from your Nurse Aide Registry, whereas others need you to send it directly.

3. If the new state asks you to mail the application directly, do it as fast as you can. They might even agree to ask you to fax the application. In addition, ask them about other documents that you need to send them. Inform them about the address at which they can send your new certified nursing assistant card.

Besides the application, you might need to send copies of the following documents as well. These include your Social Security card, a photo identity document, your current CNA approval and a recent pay slip to prove that you worked as a nurse aide in the last two years.

With this, the process of reciprocity is complete and you will have obtained a license transfer to the other state.

Beginners Should Heed a Few Rules Before First Yoga Class

So you've decided to enroll in a yoga class. Great! Signing up for a yoga class is a big first step toward achieving harmony of the mind, body and spirit. Enrolling in a yoga class is the perfect way to relieve your mind and body of stress and relax, as well as connect with other people who share your new-found enthusiasm.

But beginning students such as yourself must take that eagerness to begin and take it down a notch while you prepare yourself for the class experience. Most yoga classes have established a rhythm and pattern, as well as a set of rules, designed to let the participants get the most out of the experience. Before your begin your first yoga class, take a few moments to read some of these suggestions designed to help you enjoy your yoga experience from the first class into the future.

CNA CLASSES

For starters, try not to eat for at least two hours prior to the class. Eating before attending a yoga class can results in discomfort, cramps, nauseous feeling, even vomiting when performing the bends, twists and inverted poses that are commonly associated with yoga. In addition, the energy your body needs to digest food can take away from the energy you'll need to perform yoga.

Try to get to your class no less than 10 minutes before it is scheduled to begin so you can get settled in and find a suitable spot. Rushing into class just as it starts can make it difficult to settle in, even for the entire duration of the class. By getting to the class well before it beings, you can take the time to warm up with some light stretching, meet a few of your other classmates or simply relax and get into a peaceful state of mind.

Along with arriving early, don't leave early. Unless it's an emergency, remain in the class until it is finished to avoid disturbing others.

Come to the class with a goal in mind. Is it to stretch your tired muscles and become more supple and flexible? Do you want to attend a yoga class to clear your mind of the stress that comes from work and home life? Whatever the reason you have decided to enroll in a yoga class, focus on that during your workout to create the proper mindset to address the problem.

Leave the cellphones at home. People have become so used to having their phones and pagers with them at all times that they sometimes feel that they can't be without them. But a phone can be a distraction in many places, especially in a yoga studio where even a "quiet" conversation can be a distraction. Even though you think you're being quiet and discreet, you're probably not. In short, leave the phone at home or at least turn it off.

On a related note, keep your conversations with other members of the class to a minimum, or better yet, have them it before or after class. Sure, mastering that new move may be an exciting moment, but other people are trying to master it as well and may have trouble concentrating is you're congratulating yourself loudly or trying to discuss it with the person next to you.

Have all of your class materials - yoga mat, water bottle, towel, etc. - handy when you get to class. By having everything you need near you during the class, you can avoid being a distraction by walking back and forth for water, your towel on the other side of the room, etc. It isn't fair to not let others reap the benefits they are seeking from yoga by disturbing them. And when you're finished with your session, collect all of your belongings and take them with you. Another yoga class may need the space after your class is done.

If you have an injury or special physical restrictions, tell you instructor before the class begins. He or she can suggest poses or motions that are suited to your condition and can tell you of poses that you should not do and suggest an alternate version.

While you may be excited to be in your first yoga class, don't go overboard. Only do poses that you can do without hurting or straining yourself. Listen to your body and only go as far as it will let you. As you progress in the class, you will be able to do more intricate and complicated moves. But until you reach that point, take it easy.

Finally, allow yourself to fully experience the yoga class. Because of its ability to bring the mind and the body into one, it can be like no other activity in which you have participated. Let yourself be open to the lessons of yoga, from the very first class onward, and you might be amazed at the possibilities the present themselves.

Cool College Class Ring Stone Effects

You've spent many years in college and worked hard all along the way. With graduation nearing, this is a perfect time to treat yourself and get your own college class ring. Class rings normally have your college and your degree. Even if you attend school through online means or you are home schooled, a jeweler has made a ring for you (or they can make one special just for you).

Along with specifying the metal and the stone and year, now you can also select a special effect for your stone. Stone options add a little more to the cost of the ring. Depending on the jeweler, here's some of the stone effects you can pick from:

CNA CLASSES

-- Astralight stone effect

Astralight is a special option underneath the stone and it gives the stone the illusion of a rainbow beneath it. Astralight can be done on either smooth or faceted stones. It looks really good.

-- Sundance stone effect

The Sundance effect also can be done on either smooth or faceted stones. It is a special effect under the stone that gives the illusion of rays beneath the stone.

-- Encrusting effect

This is where an embedded yellow gold symbol or yellow gold letter is placed into the top of your stone. Encrustings look better on darker stones and are available on the smooth stones. With this effect, you would not want to combine this with either the Sundance or Astralight stone options.

-- Protected emblem effect

This is a symbol or letter design located underneath the stone. This effect works better with the lighter colored stones and is available on smooth stones. You wouldn't want to combine this with Sundance or Astralight either.

I wish you an awesome graduation. It's a wonderful time in your life and your class ring is that something extra you can always carry with you. It serves as a reminder that you "made it."

Beginning Yoga Classes

Take the plunge and start taking beginning yoga classes at a studio near you

New yoga students can sometimes be intimidated by every facet of yoga. Some people think that anyone who practices yoga has to have the flexibility of a gymnast. Other people might think that you have to be a certain age or have a certain body type to truly gain the benefits of yoga. Those are false assumptions. People of all ages, body types, men and women can practice and gain the benefits of yoga. There are many ways to modify any yoga pose and you can use props such as blocks and straps which make it easier for beginners. However picking a good studio that offers a lot of beginners classes is a great way to start practicing and get over any initial fears and doubts. Those classes are designed for beginners and most of the people taking them are also newbies.. Although you can learn a great deal on your own by reading a great magazine like yoga journal or watching a beginner DVD. I think the best way to get started is to find a great yoga studio that fits your needs.

So if your thinking I am ready to take the plunge and start practicing yoga at a local studio. You can do a yoga search on Google to find the studios that are located closest to your home. Most studios have websites so you can get an idea of the types of classes they have and what times they are offered. If the studio doesn't have a website call them and get on their mailing list. Find a studio that offers a lot of beginners classes at times that works for you.. I think a good studio that offers many beginners classes with a caring and helpful teacher is the best place to start practicing.yoga

7 Tips For Writing Thank You Letters With Class

When I first started tracking the information preferences of people visiting my Writing Help Central Web site I was surprised to find how many folks were seeking information on how to write thank you letters. In fact, "thank you letter" information and sample templates are the fifth ranked destinations at that Web site.

In reality, thank you letters are among the most important letters we will ever write. Whether business or personal, an effective thank you letter needs to be written with sincerity, tact and sensitivity.

CNA CLASSES

Following are a few tips that will help you whenever you encounter thank you letter situations in your business or personal life.

1. Make Sure It's Appropriate

One of the main issues with respect to thank you letters is to know when to send one. As a general rule, I would say "better to be safe than sorry". However, make sure there is something noteworthy about the situation. A thank you letter for a routine situation doesn't make sense and dilutes their meaning.

2. Write It Promptly

It is always best to send a thank you letter as soon as possible after the event for which you are doing the thanking. It will help with the level of sincerity in your letter if the event is still fresh in your mind. In any case, a delayed thank you letter will seem like an obligatory afterthought to the recipient.

3. Remind The Recipient

In your introductory sentence, make it very clear that it is indeed a thank you letter and that it pertains to a specific event, situation and/or person. This will eliminate any confusion on the part of the recipient as to the purpose of the letter.

4. Make It Short and Direct

Get straight to the point and never exceed one page. Thank you letters should be short, direct, sincere, and to the point. In business situations they will always type-written but personal thank you letters can be hand-written or typed, as appropriate to the situation.

5. Make It Personal

By definition, a thank you letter is a sincere personal gesture from one individual to another. It should be expressed as a heartfelt personal sentiment, even when written in a business situation. At the same time, strive to be balanced in approach and don't be overly effusive.

6. Always Write it To One Person

Always write your thank you letter to an individual, not an organization or group. Even if it's a situation where a group is involved, write your letter to the senior person in the group and/or the group spokesperson. Ask that person to please pass on your sincere appreciation to the other people in the group, and name them in your letter if possible. (Contrary to advice given by certain so-called experts online, in my experience, writing a group letter is NEVER appropriate and achieves little or nothing).

7. Check Spelling and Grammar

As when writing all letters make sure you carefully check your spelling and grammar. This is even more important for thank you letters, since they are almost always a sincere statement of appreciation from one person to another. Be sure to double check the spelling of all names used in the letter. There's no quicker way to blow your credibility and sincerity than to misspell someone's name.

The bottom line on thank you letters is "make it appropriate and sincere", or there really is no point in sending one.

How to Choose a Parenting Class For Divorce

You may be lucky enough to have a Parenting Class nearby that you can fit into your schedule, but most people have trouble finding parenting classes that are close enough or that work with their schedule. Those people turn to online parenting classes for divorce. Which one will work best?

I just don't want to be bothered right now

CNA CLASSES

People going through divorce aren't interested in attending a parenting class. They just want to get past this stage of their lives and move on. Parenting Classes are an inconvenience at best. Parents facing a divorce approach any parenting class as one more task to get out of the way before they can move on. These people do not retain information well - unless you can make it easy to retain.

When searching for a Parenting Class For Divorce, see if they have a "Testimonials" page. Read what past students have written. Testimonials will usually say how much the student learned and how easy it was.

I don't need a parenting class

Most parents don't think they need a parenting class. They think a divorce parenting class will be a waste of their time. But, once they find a parenting class that is organized to draw them in and make learning enjoyable, they see mistakes they have made and get very excited when they see that making simple changes to their parenting style results in a happier home life.

When both parents take the class, suddenly they see things in a different light and many of the fights they've been having over the divorce disappear. Hard feelings may linger, but they've learned what is important to fight about and what is important to put behind them. They learn how their bickering affects the kids and affects their own life.

Unfortunately you won't be able to tell how the class is presented until after you register.

In our parenting classes, we have organized it so that you can immediately try a few techniques out on your children. Once parents see how easy it is to achieve positive results so fast, they are eager to complete the class. We use plain English and common scenarios to show our students an easier way. Parents realize that they are learning new skills and the information they are learning is already helping them through this tough time. The last half of the class is devoted to divorce. Since the first part of the class was helpful, more parents are willing to implement the suggested techniques.

I can't afford a parenting class

Nobody wants to pay for something they don't even want to experience. It's like saying "Here, give me fifty bucks and I'll hit your finger with my hammer."

Parents often drag their feet and finally (often at the last minute), register for a Parenting Class For Divorce. Now, it's crunch time. They have to finish this class before the court date.

Let's be honest. You are not going to learn much when you rush through a class. If you are willing to learn, the cost of the class is well worth it. If you are taking it only to satisfy a court requirement, you may not get your money's worth in learning. If you wait until the last minute, you should consider going back over the class when you have more time. Don't waste the money you spent on your parenting class.

I think in-person parenting classes are better than online parenting classes

Then you should attend an in-person class. Some people do better with an in-person learning experience. There are some very good in-person classes out there (we offer one).

One problem I have found with in-person classes is you can only learn what is offered. Sometimes these classes move too fast to sink in. I attended an in-person class given by a local service. The very first words out of the instructor's mouth were, "I know you don't want to be here. This is supposed to be a four hour class. If we move very quickly, we can be out of here in two."

Everyone left the class with a certificate. I doubt that anyone learned anything. Again, if you have to pay for a class, you should walk away with something that will help you.

Choosing a parenting class for divorce can be a challenge. When you look for one, keep in mind that you will learn something if you give yourself the time and the open mind necessary.

How to Choose a Parenting Class For Divorce

Focus On Kids offers online divorce parenting classes with guaranteed certificates of completion. Not only do you learn new techniques to make your relationship with your children much more enjoyable, you will complete your court requirements in your own time and in the privacy of your own home. Available 24/7, you control your time. Log in when you've got the time.

Nationally approved, our parenting classes are backed by a 100% money back guarantee. If your court does not accept the certificate, we will refund your money!

Freight Class & NMFC

Freight class is a classification guide for shipping items. Every shipment a company makes is assigned to a certain class that determines the difficulty your goods are to ship. Freight class was started by NMFTA which is The National Motor Freight Traffic Association. There are 18 different classes which are numbered between 50 and 500 and they are all documented in he National Motor Freight Classification tariff which is most commonly known as the NMFC.

Freight class is determined by a few important factors. The density of your items being shipped is one part of the classification. The density is the weight per cubic foot that your package. The class is also determined by the stowability, easy of handling, and liability of your items. If your items are susceptible to damage and light in weight, they will be more expensive then items that are heavy and not easily damaged.

CNA CLASSES

Finding your class is a very simply process. When trying to determine your freight classification you first need to know the length, width, height, and weight of your shipment. When measuring your package, be sure to get the exact dimensions so you can chose the correct freight classification for your item. Once you have all the dimensions of your package, it's very simply to figure out the freight class. There are many free tools online that will calculate the class for you.

Whether to you use the calculator or calculate it yourself, your freight class will be a number between 50 and 500. There are eighteen classes that are class 55, class 60, class 65, class 70, class 77.5, class 92.5, class 100, class 110, class 125, class 150, class 200, class 250, class 300, class 400, and class 500. Usually, the higher the class; the higher the rate for every 100 pounds you are shipping. It also depends on distance, weight, density, value of items, and a few other characteristics.

It is also important to remember to make sure you are 100% positive you have the right class because if you make a miscalculation you can be charge extra amounts from the carrier.

How to Get the Very Cheapest Business Class and First Class Airfare Deals

Here are 10 top tips for getting cheaper first class and business class airfares:

1. Always join the frequent flyer programs of the airlines you fly on. You should try to have loyalty membership from at least 2 of the major world alliances. If you can attain elite status you will enjoy special perks such as free lounge access, upgrade priority and seating privileges. Some airlines in the US will automatically upgrade elite members to first class if there is space available.

CNA CLASSES

2. Try a flight on "all-business" class L'Avion which flies from New York to Paris from around ,550 return. Alternatively check out L'Avion's code-share partner OpenSkies (a British Airways subsidiary) which flies a 3-class Boeing 757 with only 82 seats between Paris and NYC.

3. Also consider flying with some of the more off-beat airlines such as Air India, Pakistan International, Iceland Air and Kuwait Airways - they all fly between the US and the UK and will undercut the business class cabins of the major carriers by up to 80%. Returns in business class can be had from around ,700.

4. If flying from West coast USA to Asia, consider one of the minor Asian carriers such as EVA, China Airlines and Korean - they often have very good value deals to many Asian cities. Chinatown consolidators are another source of low airfares to Asia.

5. Stay informed! Watch out for occasional special offer business class fares available on the major airlines - you should always be signed up to their mailing lists. Since the "open skies" agreement between the US and the EU came into force in 2008, the major airlines have recently cut some transatlantic business class airfares to around the ,000 level.

6. Ask if you can purchase an upgrade to business class at the airport. This can be done at check-in, at the gate or in the frequent flyer lounge. Airlines can offer one-way upgrades on international flights for as little as 0 - this is significantly cheaper than booking a business class or first class ticket outright.

7. If available buy a premium economy seat - this is a class between coach and business class on an international flight. You are much more likely to get a free upgrade if the flight happens to be overbooked due to the very limited number of premium economy seats.

8. Buy an economy class ticket and then use your frequent flyer air miles / points to purchase an upgrade to business or first class.

9. If commercial airlines are too 'low brow' for you and you wish to fly by executive business jet then get a quote on an "empty leg" fare which can save you up to 75% off the normal jet charter fare - this can be exceptionally good value. Alternatively, consider a fractional ownership program such as the one offered by NetJets which can be more cost effective for a group of travellers than buying full fare first class tickets.

10. Get up to speed on premium class air travel by investing in your travel knowledge. Aviation experts can help you save a significant amount of money, especially with oil prices being at such high levels.

Earning Potential of CNA Jobs

A career of CNA has many intangible benefits like making a positive difference to suffering people. In an ideal world that should be good enough for anyone to join a job. However it will be wrong to avoid two important benefits of selecting certified nursing assistant or CNA as a career option i.e job stability and good earning potential.

cna

The average starting salary for a CNA ranges between 30,000 USD to 40,000 USD per year. While that may not sound a lot, you need to put it into perspective by considering the fact that CNA training can be completed in only 2 weeks to 4 weeks time. I am confident that for a training period that short, the salary is quite good. Moreover the salary keeps increasing as you gain in experience.

CNA

The salary that I mentioned above is only the average CNA salary. The exact earning potential will vary depending upon the state in which you work and the type of job that you take up. Typically the salary of a CNA in a geography is positively correlated with how expensive the place is. CNAs in expensive areas tend to earn more while those in not so expensive area earn below the national average.

A CNA may select to work in a hospital, nursing home or long term care homes. The place that you select will impact your salary as well. Typically hospitals are the best pay masters for CNAs followed by nursing homes. Within the hospital people who work in the intensive care unit tend to get paid really well. People continue to work in nursing homes despite the low payment because it offers the best work life balance while intensive care unit forces one to stay on his/her toe all the time.

Most of the time nursing assistant positions offer additional benefits, such as health coverage and retirement savings plans as well. If you are going to work through some agency then please check specifically whether these benefits are being extended to you or not.

Many CNAs migrate to higher skill jobs over a period of time. As a result there is a shortage of CNAs with more than 5 years of experience. Hence salary of CNAs tend to rise sharply beyond a certain number of years of experience.

There are few more points that you ought to consider while selecting your career. If you want a job that is recession proof, then CNA is one of the best jobs that you can go for. As with any other job, if you are good then you shall earn a lot more than the average.

Earning Potential of CNA Jobs

Looking For Surgical Tech Programs?

Those interested in becoming a surgical tech should attend and graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) accredited education program. All of the schools with accredited programs are listed on the CAAHEP website, and there are currently 452 accredited surgical tech programs available.

CAAHEP accredited surgical technician programs are available in many states, including Alabama, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Wyoming.

CNA CLASSES IN RI

For those who do not have surgical technician programs near them or who want to attend a distance learning or online program, there are eight accredited surgical tech programs. These are at Gulf Coast Community College in Florida, Kirkwood Community College in Iowa, Spencerian College in Kentucky, Southeast Community College in Nebraska, Canadian Valley Technology Center in Oklahoma, Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, Presentation College in South Dakota and Laramie County Community College in Wyoming.

The accredited training programs usually last anywhere from nine months to twenty-four months to complete, and result in a diploma, certificate, or associates degree. In order to get accepted into surgical technologist programs you normally have to have a high school degree, and it will be helpful if you took math, biology, health and chemistry while you were in high school, though this is not always required to get into a program. These courses will give you a good background your coursework during the program.

Surgical tech trainees usually learn about things like anatomy, care and safety of patients during surgery, how to handle the drugs and equipment used by surgical techs, medical terminology, microbiology, pharmacology, physiology, prevention and control of infection, professional ethics, sterile techniques and sterilization of instruments, and surgical procedures. Most surgical technologist programs involve both classroom and clinical components so that students can get some experience in the different skills they will need to use in their profession.

Completing one of the many accredited surgical tech programs is not always enough to get a job as a surgical tech. Many employers prefer that their surgical techs be certified, which requires passing an exam from the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist. Certification is good for four years, during which you need to either complete some continuing education credits or retake the exam in order to keep your certification.

Renewing an Expired CNA License

If your CNA license has expired, you need to renew it before you can continue with your work as a certified nursing assistant. However, for renewing the CNA license, you need to have working experience of two years as a certified nursing assistant.

cna

Follow the requisite steps to renew your CNA license:

CNA

1. Request a Renewal Form from your Nurse Aide Registry. You need to fill all the personal information asked on the form. For the second section of the form, you need a healthcare employer to fill it in for you. The employer can be either your current employer or ex-employer you worked under in the last two years.

2. Sign the Renewal Form with the date of completion after the employers fill it in. Mail this form to the address associated with your state.

3. Finally, you need to be patient. The processing can take a couple of weeks, and you might be able to check the status of your application online.

4. If you have not worked as a certified nursing assistant in the last two years, you will have to take the CNA certification exam in the state again. Before appearing for the certification exam, certain states require you to register with a nurse aide program. You can also visit online resources to give mock tests and brush up your knowledge.

Depending on the state in which you are working, the requirements and procedures might vary. Always check with the respective Nurse Aide Registry regarding the details of the above procedures. In addition, if you are aware that you will not get a renewal, do not apply without fulfilling the state requirements.

After following these steps, your CNA renewal should be complete. You can now work as a nurse aide yet again. Keep renewing your license in time to ensure a smooth record with your employers.

Advantages of Using World Class Ceramic Floor Tiles

There are numerous advantages associated with the use of Ceramic Floor Tile. They are attractive, easy to maintain, waterproof and durable. Ceramic tiles are also cost effective in terms of the value provided by them. They are quite versatile as you can use them for indoor as well as outdoor requirements, and they are available in a large variety of colors, looks and sizes.

You can find Ceramic Tiles in a range of bright colors, wooden grain finishes and even neutral finishes. Even though these tiles are commonly used in bathrooms and kitchens, they can be used for just any room in your home. If you live in a warm area, instead of using carpets you can use Ceramic Floor Tile in the entire house due to its good cooling features. These tiles are available in both smaller and larger sizes, so you can create different patterns in your home using the different sized tiles. Another advantage of these tiles is that you can also use them on wall like in kitchen back-splash or in the bathroom.

CNA CLASSES

You can use Ceramic Tile flooring in the outdoor patio where you can even wash them using garden hose. But before using these tiles for this option ensure that tiles are properly grouted. These tiles are quite easy to maintain and all it requires from you is to be sealed once in three years. During the installation process, you can keep some of the tiles aside for future use. In case there are cases of breaks in future, you can carry out the repair work with the same pattern of tiles. Going for the same pattern tiles at a later stage can end you up finding that the pattern no longer exists in the market.

The durability factor of Ceramic Tile makes it a good investment option for your entire home. The nearest competition to ceramic in terms of material is porcelain. Facts About CNA Salaries

One of the best jobs, in terms of personal satisfaction and salary, in the health care industry is being a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). CNAs are responsible for providing patients with basic health care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The regular duties of CNAs include, but are not limited to, feeding, bathing, changing the dress, grooming or moving patients. It may include such additional duties such as the changing of patient linens. The duties of a CNA may not seem very glamorous, but they are vital in the effective operation of any health care setting. The cna salaries are very good, and increase exponentially as you gain more experience.

cna

CNA salaries start around ,000 for entry-level positions to ,000 for the more experienced nursing assistants. Besides, the base salaries, CNAs are in such demand that many hospitals and nursing homes offer attractive bonuses to encourage CNAs to work for them. Studies show that there will be increased demand for CNAs in the future as the population ages and requires increased long-term health care needs.

CNA

Entry level for salaries for certified nursing assistants can range from approximately ,000 to ,000. The cna salaries are usually based on a per hour pay rate. The pay rate for entry-level CNA positions start at about .50 to .00 per hour. It is a simple fact that cna salaries will depend greatly on the type of facility the job is found and the state and city in which it is located. The types of facilities in need of CNAs include: hospitals, mental health care facilities, nursing homes, intermediate care facilities and private homes.

The pay scale for CNAs varies depending on where you work. There are large differences in pay scale from state to state and from city areas to rural areas. There are also many other variables which determine cna salaries. They include, the setting or type of facility in which you are to work, the experience level you may have, the need for professional staff at the particular institution and the amount of additional training and certification which you possess. The state with the highest median hourly rate is California, with an hourly rate of .00 to .00. Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas and Illinois round up the states with the highest median hourly rates for CNAs. The size of the company has been determined to not have a substantial effect on cna salaries. Self-employed and contract employees average a higher median hourly rate than those working elsewhere.

Education is one of the most important factors in determining cna salaries. You can become a much more valuable employee if you continue your educational endeavors. Increasing your knowledge by taking medical education courses and training will not only increase your value as an employee, but will significantly raise the amount of job opportunities available. In the current economic recession, anything that can add to your curriculum and set you apart from others will be an asset when changing jobs, seeking a promotion or a salary increase.

Best Character Class in World of Warcraft

You have eight classes to choose from when you are playing World of Warcraft but how are you going to decide which class that you want to create a character? Of course, each class has its own benefits and disadvantages and you will have to understand each and every one of it before you decide, if possible.

So, the classes available are rogues, warriors, warlocks, hunters, shamans, paladins, priests and mages. Rogues is possibly the best class for some players. The reason is because Rogues kill mob faster than any other classes. As such, you get to level faster.

CNA CLASSES

Warriors would be the best tanks and if you want some adventure, pick this class. Warriors are great in PvP especially if you are a caster. However, they normally kill real slow especially when you are at low levels. So, to kill faster, you will need to level your character to higher levels.

Normally, first character would be a Hunter. Hunters have companion (i.e. pet) and so they hardly die unless if they are being ganked. If you hate dull character, do not pick Hunter as your character class. Personally, I do feel that Hunter is too dull compared to other character classes.

Warlocks are also great for characters because you get pets at different levels. Warlocks are much fun compared to Hunter and kill faster too. They have better DPS pets at different levels so look out for the pets you can get if you pick Warlocks.

Shamans get great DPS class at higher levels. Other than that, Shamans are also great for PvP or PvE. Although you will find that Shamans level slowly and kill rather slow as well but they can heal based on their talent build. This is their specialty.

Being priests, you level slow but there is nothing to be disappointed about after all you need priests to heal everyone in intances. Priests leveling is easy but killing will take a long time. Still, you can cast many healing spells even when you are fighting.

Now that you have known the properties of each character classes, it is time to make your pick based on your interests and goal in playing World of Warcraft.

Paladins are great in almost everything. They are also being feared by most of the other classes. However, if you are a Paladin, you can AoE and stay alive to tell the story. You can DPS and tank while healing at the same time. Paladins are simply powerful in every way.

What Are the Highest Paying Nursing Jobs?

In general, the highest paying nursing jobs will belong to those who have chosen to specialize in a particular type of nursing and will often require education in addition to the usual Bachelor Degree in nursing which is required for an RN.

The top paying nursing jobs are those of the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, the Nurse Researcher, the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, and the Certified Nurse Midwife. The CRNA (certified registered nurse anesthetist) pays on average 5,000 a year. However, there are rigorous training requirements including an RN degree from a four-year school, a year in acute care setting experience and then the program itself, which can last from 2 to 3 years.

The lowest paid of the highest paying nursing jobs is that of a certified nurse midwife, which on average pays around ,000 a year. Entry into this demanding program requires the applicant to hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited school. The nurse midwifery program will award the successful graduate with a Master of Science in Nursing and after passing a state exam, they are qualified to practice as midwives.

The nursing situation is tight in the US as well as all over the globe. That means that sometimes hospitals or other facilities may end up short staffed for greater or shorter periods. This brings in the possibility of working as a travel nurse.

The highest paying travel nursing jobs are much like regular nursing jobs and the highest pays go to the nurse who specializes. Critical care nurses are in high demand among travel nursing companies. Nurses often work through a travel nursing service. In order to command the highest salaries it may be necessary for a nurse to sign up with several companies. In demand, nursing specialties may also negotiate salaries, and benefits with the nursing service.

It is an inescapable conclusion that even in the high demand field of nursing, the more education and specialization, the higher paid the position usually is. Not all specializations will necessarily require a commitment to a Master Nursing Degree program, an RN with 1750 hours of acute or critical bedside care experience and a current license may be eligible to take the Critical Care RN examination, which can give the nurse a higher salary potential and put them in demand as travel nurses.

Many nurses will begin with an associate degree in Nursing, which is 2 years, but for the highest paying nursing jobs a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and some certification and advanced education will be required.

Such responsible and high paying nursing positions as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist will have the nurse performing procedures that in the past were only the province of doctors or anesthetists and of course, they are compensated by way of some of the highest paying nursing jobs salaries for the increased responsibilities.

Travel nursing jobs for the specialist can provide the nurse the opportunity for travel, some of the highest pay in the nursing field and such benefits as top salaries, housing benefits and per diem expenses in some cases. For the qualified nurse who wants to travel at the expense of the company this can be the ideal position and provide the highest paying job salaries in nursing.

Do I Need to Take a Class to Start a General Transcription Business?

The short answer to that question is no, you do not need to take any special classes or go through months of training to start a general transcription service business from home.

There is a lot of buzz on the internet about working in various fields of transcription business. In fact, there's so much buzz and advice out there that it can be overwhelming. If you're interested in starting a general transcription business from home with no special training and no expensive classes then here are a few things you should know.

CNA CLASSES

While transcription courses may be somewhat necessary in the medical transcription field (and they aren't always in that area either) they are certainly not necessary in the category of general transcription. Some community colleges and technical schools do offer general transcription classes that you can take. They range in length, but are usually very short "diploma" type of programs.

The only advantage I've seen with these classes is they offer you a shiny certificate when you're all finished. For the most part they cover typing, increasing your typing speed, and then recommend a bunch of expensive equipment you don't even need. Of course, some classes are going to be better than others, but I have yet to find a general transcription class at a community college that seemed completely worth while to give you the tools and resources needed to actually get started.

The truth is you don't need to shell out hundreds (sometimes thousands) of dollars for an expensive class and then additional money for all that unnecessary equipment on top of it. You can get started with just your computer and handful of free resources and a little time to practice your skills. Just that little investment of time in yourself and you'll be headed in the right direction in no time at all.

Injury Lawyer Explains Class Action Suits

A class action lawsuit is one that is filed for a group, or "class," of people sharing injuries sustained by a single entity, business or organization. An example is a lawsuit filed against drug companies on behalf of people injured by their products. Participation in a class action lawsuit has several advantages and disadvantages that should be discussed with an experienced injury lawyer.

Types of Awards

CNA CLASSES

Awards issued from a successful class action lawsuit are in two categories: punitive and compensatory. Punitive awards are a form of "punishment" directed at the company or organization for their actions. These awards can be quite large. Compensatory damages address monetary awards caused by the defendants' actions resulting in illness, injury, pain and suffering, and loss of life.

Jury Trial May Be Necessary

If opposing parties cannot reach an out-of-court settlement, the case may go to a jury trial. Jury trials are complicated and usually involve many levels, including appeals. Defendants usually seek to arrive at settlements because these are typically much lower than awards determined by a jury.

Reduces Litigation Costs

The primary benefit derived from a class action lawsuit is reduced costs. This is especially true in cases involving a good number of plaintiffs. In fact, both sides benefit since one effort representing multiple clients, results in reduced court costs and injury lawyer fees for both sides.

Court System Benefits As Well

The nation's courts usually have their resources stretched thin. Therefore, the court system actually encourages class action suits, rather than multiple cases, all of which are against the same company. Filing a class action suit avoids the inconsistent results that can be rendered by multiple judges.

Economy in Multiple Plaintiffs

Individual court cases in many suits do not warrant the expenses incurred by one injury lawyer or firm due to small awards. Class action cases solve this situation. For example, a company may be sued for overcharging customers each. A lone individual would never sue in this situation. However, if there are a few hundred or thousand complainants, the potential combined award makes a single effort worth the undertaking.

Trial Case Lengths Can Be Troublesome

A huge disadvantage with these types of lawsuits is the trial length. Primary trial outcomes are typically called on appeal, thus prolonging the already lengthy process a jury trial entails. The appeal process can actually lag on for several years.

Class Action is Representative Litigation

Plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit typically sign away decision-making rights to an injury lawyer representative. The attorneys will then make all case decisions without the need to confer with members of the suit.

Before deciding to pursue this type of suit, you should always consult an injury lawyer.

CNA Job Description for Resume

Whether you are planning to look for work as a Certified Nursing Assistant with a new employer, applying to college to continue your education, or hoping to enter a new career field, your experience as a CNA is a valuable commodity. In order to help potential employers or schools understand the duties you perform as a CNA, it is important to be able to describe your job accurately as part of a resume. While you will need to enter specific details about your position, the following are a few guidelines that can help you create a Certified Nursing Assistant job description for your resume or application:

cna

1. Begin by describing the education and licensing requirements necessary to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Include any additional training you have had, particularly training in specialized skills that will be valuable to a potential employer. If you are applying for a job that is not in the health care field, emphasize skills such as CPR and First Aid that will be useful in any situation.

CNA

2. Give a chronological list of all experience you have working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Your employer will use this as a way to verify your work history, so be sure to include contact information such as phone numbers and names of past supervisors who can verify your employment.

3. Describe what the duties and responsibilities of a Certified Nursing Assistant are. Remember; don't use abbreviations or jargon that may not be understood by your next employer or a Human Resources office. Be thorough and honest about what duties you were responsible for performing at your CNA job. This will ensure that you are able to offer your potential employer all the skills that they read on your resume.

4. For each position, list the salary you earned at that job. If you received raises, make sure to note that you earned one wage when you started and higher one when you left. This will show your potential employer that your company recognized your value. For a school application, you do not need to complete this step.

5. List any achievements, awards, or other recognition you have earned. Your employer will be most interested in recognition relating to your job, but be sure to list other awards as well. For example, if you received special recognition for providing CPR to a person who was injured in a traffic accident, that can be a demonstration of your quick thinking and mastery of CNA skills. However, if you received an award from a service organization for which you volunteer time, a potential employer will see that as your commitment to community and team work. This type of information is particularly valuable on school entrance admission resumes.
