A Sample Cover Letter For a Job Application

Most jobs ask for a cover letter along with your resume. A cover letter can make or break your case with the prospective employer. I am giving a sample cover letter below in the format which most business schools follow in the USA. I am assuming that the applicant is doing his/her MBA right now. Make sure you put in the correct postal address and other details in the letter below. It is like a template right now. The names used below are used just as an example and are fake. Study the below letter carefully and draft your own cover letter for your applications. Good luck.

Dear Mr. Clayton:

I came to know about a managerial job opening in the marketing team at your company from Robert Woods of United Services. With my work experience and MBA in marketing, I feel that I am an ideal candidate for the position.

I have been following the progress of XYZ, Inc. since last two years from newspapers and trade journals. I am keenly interested in the online-offline model developed by your company to sell products on the Internet and in retail outlets. Before I started my MBA, I worked extensively in marketing and retailing products on e-commerce websites. Currently, I am sharpening my skills in the traditional marketing areas with my MBA studies. I plan to graduate in December 2008 with an emphasis in marketing. I find a great synergy between your company and my background and experience. I am sure, that as a marketing manager in your company, I will be able to take the department to new heights.

I am eager to talk to you and learn more about the managerial position. I want to discuss with you, the new ideas which I have for XYZ, Inc. Please review my resume. I will contact you after a week to know about the possibility of arranging a meeting with you.

Your time and consideration is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Sample Resumes Help You Become a CNA

When you are looking to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, you can often learn a lot by turning to the internet to view a CNA sample resume and other helpful information from those who are experienced and have gone through the process before you. If you are already certified as a CNA and are looking to get a job, a CNA sample resume can provide valuable insight into how to best present yourself.

The Importance Of A CNA Resume

CNA

Your resume says a lot about who you are. It does so by highlighting the experiences you have had, as well as what you have taken from those experiences. Your CNA resume gives you an opportunity to show that you stand out in your abilities, knowledge or skills. Your resume is essentially you on paper, so it is important to spend time making it say exactly what you want it to say.

On your resume, you will list your credentials in the health care industry as well as other areas. This will very often include the date, location, and source of your CNA training classes, as well as the date you passed your certification exam. If you have any volunteer experience or work experience in a hospital or health care setting, this is also something you should highlight on your resume.

However, there are many other pieces of information that can help your CNA resume shine, and one of the best ways to learn those is to view sample resumes to see the type of resume for which a potential employer is probably looking. The health care industry is an excellent source of employment, and many people will be hoping to earn the same jobs as those you are applying for.

A Prepared Resume Is Best

By preparing your resume carefully, you can make an excellent first impression and give yourself a leg up in the job application process as compared to other CNAs who may not spend as much time on their resumes. Sample resumes and sample test questions can be provided by experienced CNAs or other groups with insight into the certification process.

This is an excellent way of preparing to become an employable and successful CNA. If you have already gone through the CNA training process and passed your state certification test, then you are almost there. It will not be long until you are ready to start. But first you have to get hired, and looking at a CNA sample resume is a great way to make sure you look good compared to your competition.

Solving Sample Questions For Your CNA Exam

As you near the end of your CNA training, one of the best ways to prepare for the coming exam is to solve sample exam questions. The certification test is usually in two different parts. The first part is the written exam which is in multiple choice format. This tests more of your theoretical knowledge of basic nursing.

cna

The other part of your CNA exam is a skills based test. You will be expected to demonstrate useful skills that will be used in real life situations. An instructor will watch over you while you perform a skill and grade you accordingly. You will be performing real life tasks that you would perform as part of being a nursing assistant.

CNA

To get sample questions for the written exam it is as easy as doing a Google search. There are a lot of websites which have study tests you can use to scope possible questions you will have to answer. You should download them and save them on your computer. You can then read through them while studying or print them out and try yourself in an exam like situation.

Depending on which institute or college you attended for the CNA training, you might also have done periodic tests as part of the teaching curriculum. It is a good idea to go through the questions that appear on them so that you know what you'll be up against in your actual certification test.

The skills based exam is not as easy to prepare for. A lot of students get nervous and mess up when they are performing a task in front of an instructor. One of the best ways I found was to attempt these skills with colleagues at first. This builds up confidence as well as helps you learn from your mistakes as there won't be someone watching over you. You need to be calm and composed when doing the skills in the exam.

Some of the skills you will need to do will include taking a patients vitals or performing a routine task such as repositioning a patients bed. As part of your CNA Training Classes you will have gone through many of these skills. You will also be tested on the way you interact with the patients. It is imperative to be polite at all times and refer to your patients with respect. Social skills are a very important part of being a nursing assistant.

If you've practiced well there is nothing stopping you from acing the CNA exam. You will be on your way to a rewarding career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in no time!
