Courses for CNA training can be very expensive but there are cheaper alternatives that are just as good. First of all, check your local community college for any training, this may be obvious but there are many cheap courses there. The college must be an approved college or you could be paying out for a qualification that isn't going to get you anywhere as a CNA nurse. This shouldn't be too hard to obtain from the college, so I recommend that you do this first. You won't be able to test or trial any courses before you start and that means payment is up front. This may seem scary but on the job training can be a great way to qualify and from the start you are exposed to real life patients. The most efficient way to get involved and sign up with a nursing home is to phone them up and see if they have any openings.
